My Super Ever Late Christmas Wishlist

Tadaaaah! It's already 2014 and I'm still jotting down my 2013 Christmas list! (LAUGHING OUT LOUD!) Well, I'm not that busy as what you might be thinking. I'm not a full-time working mom either. I only have a few contracts for my write-ups and articles last year. It's just that I'm hands-on at home and is doing a sideline of travelling with my husband to attend his out of town court hearings and meetings. I sometimes assist him in his office and do the works of the secretary when papers are in tons. At home, I do not entrust to anyone the grocery shopping and the local farmers' market trips which I do once a week, the sorting and preparing of my husband's and kids' clothes and lots of personal things for my family I believe I'm the one doing and for personal touches of course.

Anyway, my list will be a 100% material thingy. Here it is:

1. Nikon Coolpix S3600
20.1 Effective Mega Pixels, 8x Optican Zoom and 16x* Dynamic Fine Zoom
4-Axis Hybrid VR for Movie Recording, with High Performance Nikkor Lenses, EXPEED C2 image-Processing System, Macro-shooting for as close as 2cm., One-touch HD 720p Movie Recording

Oh well, I still have my three-year-old Nikon Coolpix S3100 with 14.0 MP, 5x Zoom and my ever reliable Samsung Galaxy 3 from Globe that I use for capturing scenes and faces of my kids and a lot of 'selfies' (self-shots) too! (laugh) I admire DSLR cameras but I think they are not for me since I don't like bulky gadgets and I'm not a pro in photography. I remember one of my instructors in Bible College who happens to be one of General Santos' professional photographers telling us during one of our classroom chitchats, "If you are making photography as a living or as a source of income (main or sideline) then you ought to buy a DSLR camera. But if it's just for leisure like you want to have your face printed with views from places like your comfort rooms, then a point-and-shoot one will do." Elite bloggers earning thousands of bucks have been using DSLR cameras since it invaded the film market. I find cameras a must for bloggers most especially if one's theme is about travel, places, food, fashion and topics that need elaboration using photos - I mean almost-true photos. I'd settle with compact cameras for now. My old camera is getting a little fuzzy with it's lens' cover and LCD.

2. Wooden Computer Table

Minus the CPU part since my all-in-1 PC doesn't have one, I'll have another set of drawers then.

My Samsung DP700A3D All-in-1 Desktop for almost a year now is contently nestling on top of a mono block table. I asked my husband if he can have our church mate who has a furniture shop to do the job for my precious tool. Rex already gave a go signal last year but I withheld the excitement since we had just paid for our 8-seat-dining table made from santol wood last quarter of 2013. So maybe I'd have a sturdy table this summer.

I guess, that's it. Just two and I guess, yes, I guess, my 2013's Christmas wishlist will be granted this new year - anytime this year! Hahaha! I'm not in a hurry besides these are not that necessary. That's why it's called wishlist. (laugh) Hooray for my new camera-to-be and my working table-to-be!

Globe, the #1 in Postpaid PLUS GADGETS!!!

Oh yes! It's been almost three months now since our first postpaid phones at home plus our postpaid wireless internet connection powered by the no other than - GLOBE! My husband and I are Smart Telecom & Sun Cellular prepaid subscribers for more than half a decade. There's no place for a Touch Mobile or Globe in our minds until the opening of  SM in General Santos City. It was already a month since the mall's grand opening when my husband and I made rounds and happened to drop by at Globe located on its third floor. The sales agents are approachable so we did not hesitate asking questions. My eyes were caught by the Samsung gadgets arrayed on the center aisle so I asked my husband if we can apply for a plan just to have the gadget I'm so much interested with - for him, not for me, ok?. Hehehe. The sales agent gave us the list of requirements we need to comply and had me fill up the application form. The following day I submitted the papers they asked for and was told after an hour later that our application already has an approval. It was under my husband's name by the way. Based on his financial statements and the calls Globe made to the bank where my husband owns a savings and deposit accounts, he was given an 8,000 php credit line consumable. That was more than the plan I was aiming at for the gadget I wanted him to have.

My husband is always at mobile so carrying his Samsung Netbook plus charger at around 2-3 kilograms is not a good idea after all. I can't stand seeing him with so much luggage during transportation. So just like a handy cellphone he can flip, turn and move wherever and whichever he wants with his Samsung Galaxy SIII. He can open his email, watch videos most especially his fave Naruto series online, read the latest news, see the weather forecast, download files and do things over the world wide web with it using his Unlisurf 2,499 php postpaid plan. The plan has its freebies like calls and textx to other networks, to Globe and TM as well and is programmed to my Globe number too for unlimited calls and texts.

At home, I now have an internet connection which I use to blog and to sell anything I can think of online plus my Blackberry Curve - er, am not a fan of this BB but happy to say it's working so so so fab and fine for me. The wifi service connection and my new phone is in an ultimate bundle plan - and I find it reasonable for the price of 999 php. How we consume our cellphone load plans is like how we eat rice at home - use and save cause tomorrow we aren't sure if we still can afford to buy rice at the same price.

We're still conscious of our spending that's why the remaining balance of our consumable credit line will be up for plans LATER. Hehehe. It's December. Holidays are here and I just can't prepare a saucy-cellphone-cordon bleu on the table for Christmas Eve or a creamy Samsung Tablet before 2012 year ends. @_@

Tsenilas (Havaianas)

The year this famous brand of slippers invaded the market I was still in high school in a lonely town in the heart of Mindanao. I didn't have the means to own one since the price of a pair those times as per overheard ranges from 800php to 1,000php+. I coveted them in my mind for how many years. Even when I went to Cagayan de Oro for college I still can't afford one cause the money I had in my hand were grated for food and fares. And when at times I had an amount to spare - I was hesitant to buy one. Sayang ang 800pesos ko na para lang sa tsenilas!

One time I audited my expenses for flip-flops or rubber slippers in a year, it summed up to 720php all in all. As an avid fan of slippers I tend to buy a pair every two months, just the less branded ones. I'm not fond of sandals. I always wear if not sneakers then slippers. With slippers I can wet my feet anytime I'd like to. And since my feet are like claws and carries my whole weight, after a month or so the new slippers I bought eventually shrinks. And I don't like the feeling of it under my heels and toes.

My most awaited time came when I gained the guts to finally purchase a pair of my most coveted brand. It happened on my first salary with my employer. Before I could change my mind and think of anything else, after withdrawing my hard earned 15day-salary, I went straight to Chimes (a fashion store located in Davao City's China town which caters authentic and branded apparels and all to Dabawenyos) and bought my 1st ever pair of Havaianas! As money to be considered, I got the cheapest - Havaianas Top in Violet. The slippers sucked 650pesos from my wallet but I knew I'll never regret spending for them.

I'm wearing the same pair for almost 6 months now and truly, they are worth the buy! They still look new, no signs of aging, elegant and descent when I pair them with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses! And best of all, they don't shrink! Still looking the same from the day I eagerly grabbed the pair from the shelves of Chimes. The slippers may shrink (they're just slippers made out of rubber) but I guess it'll take years before I'd feel they must be replaced. ",) As far as my research showed, the rubber and materials used for Havaianas is a top secret that the manufacturer won't dare divulge to the public. Well, some countries particularly China are imitating the styles and cuts of the slippers but they still can't produce the quality ones made by the sole Havaianas' maker in Brazil.

I'm already married when I bought my first pair, I'm planning to buy one for my husband. I just bought 2 pairs for my younger brothers as my late Christmas gifts from their one and only ate - ME. I'm contented with my pair, actually I'm wearing them as of now. And to buy another pair or pairs? When fortune allows, blessings from up above pour and come unstoppable and there is extra - why not? ONE SIM LOADS ALL NETWORKS (VMOBILE LOADXTREME)

We can't erase neither deny the big fact that every Filipino has her/his own cellphone. Even kids in grade schools have their own gadgets to send & receive text message & photos; to make & accept calls; and one can now browse the world wide web using this kind of gadget to open their emails and log in to social networking sites. I call it, RAMPANT. With every second we use our cellphones, we are spending. Seems like almost every second or every minute a person holds a cellphone and is already a part of a NEVER-ENDING routine. Cellphones are now the primary medium of communication and connectivity with all the Filipino people.

I myself could consume a 600 PhP plus worth of load in a month while my husband's doubles due to his field of work and our load consumption is growing bigger and bigger with more people to contact and lives and work get hectic. As for me I am using three accounts with the big-three Telco companies: Smart, Globe & Sun Cellular. My husband has two. My Globe is Tattoo prepaid so in order to have an unlimited surfing for a month I have to load 1, 200 PhP plus for it. And every other day, we purchase loads via retailers found all over the city of Davao. And thinking about it, I'd say the one thing I get whenever I buy load is that I can ONLY USE it. When my load runs out I have to pay for another. And who is or who are the ones getting richer? Of course, alam nyo na yan.

Now, here comes LoadXtreme (VMobile). You don't have to change or replace the SIM or the number you are currently using. All you need to do is to buy the retailer's kit with the activation code from an authorized Load Extreme Business Center or Dealer to register. And after Load Extreme confirms your account, you can then start loading your wallet in able to sell load or to load yourself! Being a Load Extreme retailer enables you to load all networks. Name it: Smart, Sun, Globe, Talk & Text, Touch Mobile, Red Mobile, PLDT Landline Plus & Vibe, Bayantel Prepaid & Affordacall, Dream Satellite TV, Smart Link, Smart & Sun Cellular Broadband, Airborne Access, ABS-CBN TFC, Online Games like Amped, E-games, Garena, Gameclub, High Street, Kapamilya Casual Games, Level Up, Lineage II, Mobius Online, Softnyx and a lot more are still coming to be available. If you become a loader or a retailer of Load Extreme, you are entitled to (I call it) SURE sales whenever you sell load/s to consumers and your own discount when you load your own number. You also get other business opportunities when you sign up to become a LoadXtreme Dealer or Retailer. Moooooore PERKS and bigger chances of growing and expanding in this field.

So why not turn your daily consumption into income? I mean it, INCOME! I would like to quote my husband's tag line at work: Bahalag ginagmay basta kanunay (Small things get big when frequent). And I myself can prove that since the first day I started as a retailer with LoadXtreme I am earning pesos just by clicking my cellphone while doing my other 'thingies' at home along with my work and sidelines. If you want to become a dealer then the chances I'm telling will be much much in extreme for an aspiring entrepreneur and also for those who plainly wanted to use it for personal consumption. You have the options and you choose.

For as low as 250 PhP to register an account with LoadXtreme you are now on your verge to business. Have an initial load of 300 PhP and PRESTO! Load now! Load na, Now na! ^_^ You can replenish your load wallets in easy ways provided. No hassles. Dealer kits costs 3, 998PhP which contains 20 retailers kit including yours and the rest you can sell it to those who would like to become retailers/consumers.

It's as easy as that. I'd be glad to be of help for queries and the like. LoadXtreme (Vmobile) is under the banner of Penta Capital Investment Corporation, the leading independent investment house in the Philippines known for its unique expertise in project development and financing, especially for real estate, leisure and infrastructure projects with almost half a billion in assets.

I'd like to add this up, before, I'd usually show my tongue out and roll my eyes (seems like saying, "Talaga?") when introduced to a networking company. It came to a point when I even said this, "Show me a 1 million peso check first (not 999, 999 but one million) before I'll sign up with your networking company." Mostly, networking companies promises too good to be true visualizations. They concentrate more on "networking" forgetting about the first fact that Filipinos nowadays are getting more practical. Why risk thousands of pesos in a business where you can't see it would still be in sight years from now? Food supplements, herbal capsules & medicines and etc. (I'd say) are not a part of every Filipino lives. We are now living with the days where we want simple, basic commodities with discounts and better deals. And this "CELLPHONE LOAD"? I guess, load already speaks for itself.
